Gene Yu is the Founder and CEO of BlackPanda, Asia's pioneering cybersecurity insurtech company. Black Panda specializes in digital forensics and incident response services and boasts offices in key Asian locations including Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Manila.
Prior to establishing Black Panda, Gene was an early employee at Palantir's Asia office and also on the trading floor in equity swaps at Credit Suisse and Wall Street. He also has a profound understanding of military operations, having served as a team leader with the US Army Special Forces as a Green Beret during four combat tours in Iraq and the Philippines.
Gene graduated with top honors from the computer science
program at United States Military Academy (USMA) West Point, highlighting his exceptional skills and dedication to the field !

(#FTAHK) and a Member of the Hong Kong Government Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development (Web3 Task Force). He is also a Steering Committee Member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (#HKTDC) and a Conference Ambassador of the Hong Kong Tourism Bureau (#HKTB).
