Our elementary program is always a non-negotiable part of our Christmas celebration as a church. The kids have worked for months to be ready to step up on that big stage and sing their hearts out. We’re so privileged to watch them tell the story of Christmas this day. And we’re going to take some time when they are done to talk again about why this particular baby remains such a reason for celebration. This reason is actually a part of the baby’s name: Jesus. We’ll see how he got that name and we’ll go back hundreds of years before he was born to look at one of the prophecies about his mission. Jesus came to be the Savior for everyone who will put their trust in him. Everyone needs this salvation, whether they think they do or not. And Jesus came to pay for it by taking our place. Today and every day that we use the name “Jesus” we’ll remember that he is our Savior!
