hi guys and welcome back to the mystery and comedy Old Time radio podcast. please welcome back to the show Miss Kathy Lewis and Miss Maire Wilson in the CBS comedy show my friend irma. in this first episode we find the girls once again in their living room when Jane looks over and sees her beloved Irma with a icebag on her head and hot water bottle her feet. when Irma tells Jane that she feels that she is sick and Jane tries to tell Irma that she\'s not sick. so later on the episode Richard comes along and tells Jane that he has some exciting news for her she is going to be going on a business trip to Chicago. so as Jane leaves to get ready for her trip Irma opens up the balcony and sees their neighbor who is a little boy over at his house by himself. so the little boy tells Irma that he\'s sick but Irma doesn\'t believe him and invites a little boy over. so Jane returns home to find the little boy in their living room and knows that Irma invited the little boy over so Jane thinks that her and Irma have to quarantine the night before Jane goes on her trip. but unfortunately for Jane her beloved friend Irma keeps her up all night. later on that night a doctor comes to make a house call visit. when the doctor tells Jane that his son was making it up she calls Richard and well talking to Richard the doctor tells her that Irma is sick with the measles and it is called Irma get sick. in this next episode we find the girls once again discussing their futures with their boyfriends and their wedding day and how they\'re going to celebrate their honeymoon. so as the girls are talking Irma gets a phone call from her boyfriend Al. Al tells her that they can go to a matinee show on Broadway. so Irma is very excited to go with her boyfriend to the show. when all the sudden her plans change when misses O\'Reilly tells Irma that her friend Amber has called her and tells her to give her a call back. so Irma\'s plans change and Jane ends up going with Al to the show. but later on the episode Irma finds out that Amber is getting married that afternoon and is held responsible for getting her wedding ring at Kay\'s jeweler. but Jane thinks that Irma has bought her own wedding ring and returns the money to the bank. but what Jane does not know is that she got herself in quite a pickle with Amber lipscot. and it is called Irma buys her own wedding ring.
