Today’s guest describes himself as an outdoor enthusiast, a sports nut, and a bibliophile. Jonathan Woody or “Woody” as the world knows him currently manages the budget and staffing within UNC chapel hill’s history department, but has done so many other things that it’s staggering.
From being an amateur bull rider in rodeos during his 20s, to starting a non-profit ministry in east Africa, he’s spent time defining and redefining himself as he’s gone through life.
After earning a bachelor’s in Economics, he’s earned a masters in Theology, Humanities, and Public School Administration. He’s gone from educator to pastor and back again as a principal. He loves bourbon, cigars, and reading. In fact, he’s a growing celebrity on instagram—where his love of books has actually earned him some recognition, some famous followers and according to him—the ultimate prize, FREE BOOKS.
