Be hopeful. From anti-Stefanik booing and fiery town hall protests, one thing is clear: America is angry—and you are not alone.

This week we look beyond our own backyards to Trump’s recent summit with Putin. I’m all for diplomacy, even summits with adversaries. But what we saw wasn’t strength. It was awe—Trump dazzled by Europe’s prestige, Russia’s menace, and a beach ball in the middle of it all—ending in something closer to groveling than negotiation.

And then back home, as we march toward the midterms, the stakes are no less serious. Trump and his allies aren’t content to fight it out at the ballot box—they’re trying to rig it through voting machine manipulation, ballot restrictions, and new waves of voter suppression.

The anger is real. The hope is too. The question is whether we’ll use it.
