His company, Engage, has developed AtlasOS, an AI tool that claims to be "the simplest way to add AI to your business and allow your employees to be more human." But Calvin doesn’t stop there. As the founder of Graisin Robotics, he’s also exploring how robotics can transform industries and lives.
As someone who admittedly has a skeptical view of AI (too many "Terminator" movies may have clouded my judgment), I didn’t hold back on challenging him about what he’s building and what’s to come. Calvin’s perspective is unique: he has hunted with tribes who live entirely off the land—no AI, no technology, just community and survival. Yet, he firmly believes that AI and robotics, when used with intention, can help us reconnect with our humanity and live more meaningful lives.

Full transparency, Calvin and I go way back. We first crossed paths in 2007 when he was a teenager working with the non-profit Celebrities Against Autism. Not long after, he began interning for me at iHeartRadio, where I was the Executive Producer for the local morning show. Over time, our professional connection evolved into a close friendship—Calvin isn’t just a friend; he’s like family.
