Eternal Conscious Torment is the dominant view in the Church in recent history. Just like the other views it has biblical support and is the preferred view for most people. Whether this is because it is the most widely taught, and therefore we feel weird challenging it, or because people are convinced it is truly the most accurate view, it is one of the main three Biblically defendable views on Hell.
