As information becomes more readily available in our times, so does access to Biblical scholarship. As people get into Biblical scholarship they are met with the often confronting facts that scholars seem to hold less than conservative views on scripture.
Christians who grew up hearing that the Bible has no contradictions may be shocked to learn that a good amount of Christian Scholars agree that the Bible does actually have contradictions. This is just one example of many that people come across.
So, in light of this reality, how do "lay Christians" understand the difference between conservative Christianity and what looks like a progressive scholarship? This is what we talk to Dr. Rauser about.
