Today is a great conversation with Ruth Jones, an independent speech and language therapist from the UK. Ruth works with neurodivergent children and young people and is a neurodiversity informed practitioner, with her core values completely aligning with mine, acceptance, curiosity and connection.
In this conversation we chat about what it means to be a neuroaffirming speech therapist, how in early years, we can work with therapists who maybe are not aligned with the neuroaffirming paradigm. Also the impact still of covid on children's speech and language development as well as how we can spot the signs of and support our gestault language processors.
This is a great conversation and one which we can learn so much from.
