Things didn't go as planned for the birth of our first son. Some of the things were beyond control, but most of our terrible experience was thanks to ridiculous policies that were clearly not about health at all.
When our son needed medical attention, before we could even catch a glimpse of his face, he was taken away from us, and we were not "allowed" to be with him.
We are grateful for the amazing individuals who crossed our paths during this crappy experience, but we are also sharing for awareness of the mistreatment that occurred within hospital walls during the height of the pandemic.
