I love the holiday season but I know it can be a challenging time of year for some people. Trying to balance cultural traditions, getting together with family, and the oppressive nature of our ultra-capitalist society can bring up a lot of different feelings. Here are a few thoughts on how religion, spirituality, consumerism, and science interact for me in today's world, and how what may seem like tensions between them can actual bring us more meaning and joy.
