This part 3 episode is about interventions used in addressing
the bedtime problems from negative sleep-onset association, fear of the dark, separation anxiety, defiant behavior etc. In the previous episode we discussed identifying the problem, getting started on establishing a bedtime routine and starting to give positive reinforcement when we observe desired behavior.
Interventions include extinction and gradual extinction methods to address negative sleep-association, as well as Interventions regarding fear of the dark, separation anxiety, recurrent nightmares based on exposure, anxiety management and positive reinforcement.
