In this episode, Liz shares her passion for women preachers to preach differently and talks about her new book, written with Kate Bruce: Out of the Shadows: Preaching the Women of the Bible .
Liz describes herself as a feminist theologian currently working on doctoral research about women’s preaching. She is on the committee for Women and the Church (WATCH), which I ask her about in the interview. Her job is Director of Studies for the Church of England in Chester Diocese.

RGP History
Alison & Grace were having a conversation in the summer of 2019 about podcasts and they weren't aware of any at the time that spoke to their context, so they decided to set one up. You can hear more about their thinking about the podcast on the Introductions episode.
Grace & Alison worked on the podcast together for the first year but Grace had other commitments that meant she had to give the podcast up, so from February 2021 the podcast is carrying on without her. We are still hoping to have new podcast co-hosts, maybe even a team. Could it be you? Do get in touch.

The Recovering God Podcast has been in existence since the summer of 2019. The team has changed over those years but we're delighted to still be offering relevant discussions covering the broad topics of feminism and the Christian faith!
