Episode Summary:

In today’s episode, I am honored to welcome our guest Martin Sunday, a Heart-centered business owner who does Lighting Design for Homes, Restaurants, Churches, and Office Spaces. His mission is: We light up lives through the artistic use of light technology. His approach is to revitalize people's lives as part of creating beautiful lighting for their homes. His company is a heart-centered business. They do this by having a set of 12 guiding principles: honesty, excellence, integrity, grace, empowerment, responsibility, creativity, personal growth, solution-oriented, and coaching.

To help us understand where to look for the light in our lives, Martin will share how he has built his company around heart-center ideas. He recently made the decision to grow his company and has a story of faith to tell us about today.

During Martin's childhood, his fascination for how light landed on objects, i.e., sunlight off a lake, the light coming through tree branches, or the way sunlight would beam through a cloud, drew him to develop a unique way of looking at light. He studied at the University of Michigan and then took his knowledge to Light Expressions in Los Angeles, CA, in 1983, where he first began working in lighting design.

Now, with over 30 years of experience, Martin works with residential and commercial clients all across Texas and the United States to help them with their lighting needs. Martin’s philosophy is that lighting should inspire and enhance the life that it illuminates.
