In 2016, Martin was a top producer in a Fortune 100 Financial Services Firm with a beautiful office on the 44th floor of a prestigious high-rise office building with a view overlooking Park Avenue in Manhattan. When we elected Trump as President, he felt the pain of all those who bullied him as a young queer boy growing up in South Georgia had taken over, and he felt powerless.
Within months, Martin spiraled into a “Dark Night of The Soul” and faced his biggest fear, bankruptcy. Fortunately, he had the love and support of his spiritual teachers and coaches who guided him through this dark night, where he learned to love and accept all of himself, even the parts he didn't like.
Instead of bankruptcy, he followed the advice of his spiritual teacher and took the path of the heart, and surrendered everything. Leaning into 40 years of contemplative practice, he let go of his financial problems and lifelong belief of not being good enough. He went from believing he wasn’t good enough and always trying to fit in, to a deeper knowledge of the truth; "I am a powerful, loving, creative gay man, made exactly the way I am by a benevolent and loving God, on a mission to bring my unique gifts in service for the betterment of others."
In 2018, Martin founded Financial Heart Space, LLC to teach and coach gay, transgender, and bisexual business leaders this revolutionary approach to financial success and wealth creation.
He developed The Heart Space Path to create breakthroughs and transformational results quicker, combining over 20 years mastering shadow work facilitation skills as a volunteer leader with the ManKind Project, 40+ years of contemplative practice, and a lifetime student of spiritual wisdom, and more effectively than other transformational programs
