Lastly, on today’s podcast I share a powerful life tool called the PIVOT. Below are the steps: The PIVOT is a practical life coaching powerful tool I teach my clients.
Step 1: Notice and STOP - the first step in the PIVOT is to Notice and STOP. Practice noticing when you are distracted and when you are aware that you are distracted STOP. It helps to see a stop sign in your head. This visual practice helps communicate with the brain to notice being distracted and to pause.

Step 2: Observe - the second step in the PIVOT is to practice observing what’s happening in your moment of distraction. From my experience, the second step takes the most practice. As human beings when we notice we are distracted we have an opinion and or judgement about it. In the second step you give up any judgments you have about being distracted.

Step 3: Choose: Now What? The third step in the PIVOT is to choose Now What? Now what will you do? What next action do you see to take? What are you committed to in that moment? Take action consistent with your commitment.
