In this episode, “Convictions: Christianity and Drinking” we begin a series on conversations about convictions in our faith. Overall, our heart is to shed some light on what conviction is, how and why we should follow the things the Lord lays on our heart, and also the fact that convictions are truly personal and at the individual level.
This is not an episode to say, “do what we do” but rather “do what the Lord asks of you.” This is not our attempt to say “do/don’t do this” to earn favor with God. Rather, fall more in love with the Lord and let that produce a desire and excitement to abide in him.
The topic of drinking has truly been one we have spent so much time learning about, and we want to be so sensitive to the place in which each listener could be upon listening. If you fear this is a sermon in which someone is going to self righteously suggest “just quit” or shame you into change, rest assured that is not what you will be hearing. Instead, you are going to find two girls who have grown in their love for the Lord in such a way, that He would be so kind as to convict and move in our hearts in a way that has changed our lives. And as He does so in ours, He has asked us to take the step of obedience in sharing about it with you!
