In this morning rant I talk about God our father as our shield. A shield is used as both and offensive weapon or a defensive weapon, but its main usage it to protect. God is our protector.
God Is A Shield
Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.
