This morning rant is about the purpose behind rain and snow. Its to water the earth, cause things to bud, things can be produced, and man would be rewarded. The word of God does the very same thing. Today we look at how that happens.
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to you, God,
He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
The Lord said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I watch over My word to accomplish it."
