God delivers his people either from something or out of something. God in his mercy will in some cases deliver us from every getting into the problem, but if you ever find yourself in the thick of it, God promises that he will deliver us out of it. In either case we can have the victory. Our only requirement is to walk in faith. Sometimes we have been walking by faith and we still find ourselves in the middle off. Then there's a promise in the bible for us.
Isaiah 43:2
2 When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
