The bible teaches us that we are responsible for our personal development. We must bring to bear all tools, such as meditation, prayer, thankfulness, being present to assist us in growing up so that we can become servants.
Luke 2:52 says, “And Jesus kept on growing—in wisdom, in physical stature, in favor with God, and in favor with others.”
1 Timothy 4:13
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.”
1 Peter 2:1-3
So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
1 Corinthians 14:20
Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.”
Philippians 1:9-11
