This morning rant is to remind us that we have a Shepherd that love us enough to come and find us when we make decisions to leave the flock.
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,
Psalm 119:176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant,
For I do not forget Your commandments.
1 Peter 2:25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
Matthew 18:12 “What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?
Luke 15:3-7 So he told them this parable: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Ezekiel 34:11 For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will
Luke 15:5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Psalm 23:1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
