Description

Rev. 7:9-17; Matthew 5:1-12 The reading from Revelation takes our minds forward. If you like, it reminds us of something that is yet to come, that is yet to occur, that is to yet arrive, but of which we have a hint, a taste, an inkling. It’s as if we have been allowed to pull back the curtain and the next act is being revealed to us. And it is great hope, not just for the end of our days, but for this day.

For there is also hope for the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and the persecuted.
