Now, the gospel reading we have today is not one in which the disciples are breaking into song and dance. They’re afraid, very afraid. Bear in mind these guys are seasoned fishermen. They know what it is to go out on the water, probably every day. They’ve experienced all kinds of weather before.
So, this must have been one big storm! One wild storm! Their boat was about to sink. They were scared for their lives.
And what’s Jesus doing? Well, he’s sleeping on a cushion!
