Description

Jonah is a prophet God chose to warn the people of Ninevah that their city and everything and everyone in it was going to be destroyed. For some reason unknown to us, Jonah decides he does not want to comply with this and heads to Tarshish, gets to Joppa, and finds himself a ship bound for that port. God sends this huge wind on the sea, creating a storm so violent, that everyone on board was concerned it would snap the ship in half and everyone would go down with it. All the sailors are busy throwing things overboard to make the ship lighter and praying to their gods. Meanwhile, Jonah is passed out down below while everyone was freaking out. Some of the sailors find him and beg him to start praying to his God to save everyone. They then decide to cast lots to see who is responsible for all of this, and the lot falls on Jonah and they begin an interrogation and ask where he's from, who his people are, and who he worships. He tells them he's Hebrew and he worships God and that freaked them out and they were like omg what have you done to cause all this? The seas get rougher and they want to know what is going to make things easier for them and Jonah just suggests that they throw him overboard. So they do this and then instead of dying, Jonah gets swallowed up by a huge fish for three days and three nights. Jonah prays a beautiful, heartfelt prayer and then vomits onto dry land.
