With almost 40 years of experience in journalism, Kym has established herself as a trusted and respected voice in the Memphis community. She's known for her in-depth reporting, thought-provoking interviews, and commitment to telling the stories that matter most to Memphians.
The child of an Air Force dad, she was originally from the Oglethorpe County, GA area but she spent most of her time growing up in Nebraska while making stops in the Bermuda and the Philippines. Kym graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her TV broadcasting career in Macon, GA, before ultimately landing in Memphis, where she's become an integral part of the city's fabric.
Kym is a proud supporter of local organizations and initiatives, including the Memphis Humane Society. She's also a recipient of the prestigious Emmy Award for her investigative reporting. When she's not anchoring the news, Kym loves spending time with her family trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
