We started considering the subject of sin last week and as was earlier said that it will be a series to be considered under four sub-topics and we have considered the origin of sin and the concept of sin before the law, during the law and after the law. This week we will be considering the power of sin and how it exerts its dominion over believers.
The Power of Sin
Having considered the concept of sin and what sin means in the New Testament, we then need to understand how sin exerts its influence over believers and this understanding will help believers exert dominion over the power of sin. Sin as defined in the last teaching on this series means transgression of the law- 1 John 3:4 so this means that where there is no law, then there is no sin as an action- Romans 5:13 and we have understood that God is a person of system and order hence there will always be law to guide men.
