Robbie Horne joined the Marines in 2000 , and went to boot camp Christmas Day. He served 12 years 10 months and 6 days, in that time he did 2 tours to Iraq '03 &'04. Robbie was wounded in '03 from ambush and received a Navy Commendation with a "V" for valor as a Lance Corporal! Robbie also served a an Military Police Officer on Camp Pendleton after that, went to the Recruit Depot as an Military Police Officer, then went to the Military Police School House as an Instructor for 4 years. Robbie did his last 2 years in Okinawa, Japan (where we were in the same MP Company later standing up III MEF Law Enforcement Battalion). Robbie has been out 10 years and started Therapeutic Recreation Group with fellow Devil Dog www.therapeuticrg.org.
Robbie lost his brother Justin to suicide in 2012 while I he still in the Marine Corps while on a Marine Expeditionary Unit deployment. Robbie used to weigh 300+ pounds after he got out and lost over 100 pounds of it!
Robbie has been mixed in with the veteran and first responder community since living in Central Texas.
