In Day 18 of The Devotional Podcast, we reflect on the cry of fidelity—the sound of sons who, like Jesus, choose dependence over separation in the face of temptation. Hebrews 2:18 reminds us that Christ, having suffered and been tempted, runs immediately to the cry of those who are being tested. His resistance in the wilderness consecrates our cry today, turning weakness into worship and desperation into dependence. As Oswald Chambers said, “Temptation is not sin; it is the call of the real child of God to remain true to his sonship.” In Christ, fidelity is not performance but union, a blending of our voice with His that declares: Nothing shall separate me from Him. The Father is enough for me.
