The Dakar Rally, formerly known as the "Paris–Dakar Rally," is an annual rally raid - unquestionably recognised as the most challenging race on a global scale. Originally running from Paris, France, to Dakar, Senegal, it shifted to South America from 2009 to 2019 due to security concerns and has been hosted in Saudi Arabia since 2020. Open to both amateur and professional participants, the event typically sees professionals comprising around eighty percent of the participants.
