Join Emily as she celebrates April, known as Move More Month! Emily discusses the importance of moving more, uncovers the challenges the culture that promotes and facilitates sedentary living, what it means to 'move more,' and how to make this happen in your own wellness routine. Emily questions when movement became negotiable; we must make it a nonnegotiable daily.
Emily is a Certified Holistic Health Coach and a Certified Dietary Supplement Professional with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Emily is a Functional Nutrition Expert through MindBodyGreen and a Certified Pilates Instructor through AFPA. Emily owns and operates Whole with Emily LLC, wherein she works with clients one on one within the space of holistic wellness, to support optimal physical and mental health. She believes that true health and feeling better means examining the intersection between physical and mental health and look at one's experience through this lens. Integration of nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management and self care, gut health, mindset and more is the formula for a better quality life. Emily marries mindset with behavioral change in order to create the ultimate mind body connection and promote sustained change and a healthful balance within her work with clients.
She explores:
- our biology and movement
- how our ancestors operated versus the way of the modern world
- how culture influences what we deem as normal
- how misinformed we are around movement
- how to move more in your own life
- how to evaluate where you are in your relationship with movement and determine what movement you enjoy
