The goddess Artemis was one of the most widely worshipped and revered deities in Ancient Greece. A virgin goddess associated with wilderness, frenzy, the Moon, childbirth, illness and healing, maidenhood, the protection of young women, dogs, stags and bears, Artemis can also speak to queerness and the power of belonging to ourselves and honoring our own individual needs.
