Description

This week's guest, Singaporean Jeri Chua, began her endurance sport career over 20 years ago when she entered an Ironman triathlon and did well enough to become the first Singaporean to qualify for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Around 10 years ago Jeri shifted her focus to ultramarathon running and has been a pioneer of the sport in Asia, recording a number of ‘firsts’. She has run the gruelling 330-kilometre Tor Des Geants, the 400-kilometre Ultra Trail Gobi Race, the 168-kilometre Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, and dozens of shorter (but tough!) events, mostly off-road.

In 2016, Jeri founded Red Dot Running Company, in part with the goal of creating a focal point for the trail running, ultra-running and triathlon communities in Singapore and around Southeast Asia.

We hear about her journey from Triathlete to Ultra Queen and the lessons learnt along the way to unlocking her potential in her chosen craft.
