Dr. Craig Lemoine, Director of the Financial Planning Program at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, is a passionate advocate for incorporating American farmland into financial planning strategies. Whether addressing local students, newcomers to the region, or international learners, he emphasizes the potential of farmland investments. Serving as an Associate Clinical Professor, Lemoine teaches courses in risk management, retirement, and financial planning. His extensive experience includes roles as Executive Director of the Academy for Home Equity in Financial Planning, Vice-Chairman of the Master Registered Financial Consultant
Board, and financial planning developer at The American College. He also co-founded Lone Star Financial Education. Lemoine believes that integrating farmland into investment portfolios can yield significant benefits, a perspective that has gained traction post the 2008 Great Recession and the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
