Kyle Welch, a successful entrepreneur and accounting professor with a PhD from HBS, kicks off the inaugural episode of "The Best 2 Podcast" by reflecting on his LDS mission to Detroit from '98-'00. In this episode, we discuss Kyle's successful business career, having fun on the mission, and the lasting impact missions have on others as well as oneself.
Kyle wrote the following on his personal website:
“I found my two years as a missionary to be the single most important learning experience of my life. I attended Harvard, worked at Stanford’s Endowment, rubbed shoulders with world-renowned investors, professors (some Nobel Prize winners), and business people. I have started a business, raised 5 kids, and there is no experience of my life more important to my education as a human than my two years on a mission."
