š¬ Hey Villagers!
āØLet's Talk Trauma, Loneliness & Monster House? šļø
Excuse the scattered summary and thoughts heheātried to download the remaining memory (Oct ā24) š but whew⦠I had to talk about this one. I rewatched Monster House and God gave me a whole new lens. Not just a movie this timeāa message.
š§ What Stood Out?
The woman in the house was never able to heal from her trauma⦠and it literally consumed her.
Her husband became cold and meanānot because he was a bad person, but because of what he thought he had to become to hold on to love.
He trapped himself in that haunted house for 45 years just to avoid being alone. š
The real monster? Unprocessed trauma. Insecurity. Fear of loneliness.
š„ Reflections:
Unhealed pain doesnāt disappearāit multiplies.
Loneliness can drive you into things that slowly destroy you.
You can end up living in ruins just to protect broken memories.
What you allow into your life when you donāt feel worthyāgood or badāreveals what you think you deserve.
š§š¾ Surprise Redemption?
It was the kidsāpure-hearted and boldāwho helped free him. Even when he seemed mean and scary, they didnāt give up. Just a reminder that sometimes the help God sends doesnāt look how you expect⦠and sometimes, YOU are the help someone else needs.
š¬ Final Thought:
Watch what you carry and what you refuse to heal. Are you stuck in something toxic just to avoid being alone? Remember: Unhealed pain doesnāt protect you. It haunts you. Let God rebuild your house⦠before the cracks destroy it.
Media Tip: š„ VidAngel ā a great tool for censoring movies and shows! You can filter out profanity, violence, nudity, or foul language. Protect your spirit without missing out on good stories. Highly recommended!
