Today we are going to be looking at various affirmations found in the Cayce material. Many of these were used at the beginning of each chapter in the Search for God books one and two. As I have mentioned in previous episodes, the Search for God books were compiled by Study Group #1, which was the gathering that formed around Edgar in 1931 to bring about a greater awareness of the Cayce material and it’s practical usage in spiritual growth.
Each of these affirmations are directly from the Edgar Cayce readings and will be given as they were recorded during the original sessions. As most of you know, the Cayce readings often use Christian terminology, but are completely universal and integrative in their broad spiritual reach. The readings also frequently have unusual wording patterns which take a bit of getting used to. Personally, I find the odd wording and syntax beautiful and makes them even more special and thought provoking. Using these affirmations we are encouraged to move through the three stages of focus: thinking, feeling, and then experiencing. We return to the thinking stage whenever the mind wanders.
We will also include preparatory meditation attunement techniques suggested in the Edgar Cayce readings which will then be followed by a few minutes of meditative silence.
