Dr. William Petri is the Wade Hampton Frost Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair for Research of the Department of Medicine at the University of Virginia. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Virginia, did an internal medicine residency at the University Hospital of Cleveland, and an infectious disease fellowship at UVA. Today we discuss his journey with him and two of his mentees – Hans Verkerke and Carey Jansen.
