"The Last Question" is a science fiction short story by American writer Isaac Asimov. It first appeared in the November 1956 issue of Science Fiction Quarterly as well as various anthologies.
This is the story of what happens when humans build a computer, called Multivac, which they can feed data in order to answer questions about the future of humanity and the ever-present subject of entropy.
