Description

Welcome to Episode 18 of OSHIT where Kat tells you the story of Joshua Westmoreland. A 27-year old who was killed while working for Jons Tree Service, LLC in Birmingham Alabama in the summer of 2022 when he fell through a skylight on a commercial building. Like hundreds of other workers each year, Joshua’s employer failed to provide him with proper fall protection leading to his death. This episode is dedicated to Joshua and his loved ones along with the thousands of other people affected by fall fatalities each year. These deaths are nearly always preventable. For more information on fall prevention, visit the DOL’s blog at:https://blog.dol.gov/2024/05/02/taking-a-stand-to-prevent-falls
