Her life faced a dramatic twist in 2017 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at 26. Despite undergoing a double mastectomy and various treatments, her cancer returned multiple times. In a testament to her resilience, she moved to California for experimental treatments, supported by her family, particularly her brother Andrew, who stayed by her side.Nightbirde's remarkable journey reached a wider audience when she appeared on "America's Got Talent" in 2021. Despite battling cancer, she performed her original song "It's Okay," capturing the hearts of the judges and audience with her authenticity and spirit. Simon Cowell awarded her a golden buzzer for her performance, which resonated with millions around the world. Unfortunately, Nightbirde had to withdraw from the competition to focus on her health as her condition worsened.
