Description

On today’s episode, I’m joined once again by Dan Goodwin, Southold Town’s Highway Superintendent. In our last conversation, we talked about his family’s history on the North Fork and his journey into public service. This time, we focus on the work of the Highway Department over the past year, the projects completed, the challenges faced, and how his team has responded to the unexpected.

With elections coming up in November, Dan also reflects on the department’s biggest accomplishments during his tenure, his priorities if reelected, and how he sees Southold’s transportation needs evolving in the years ahead. It’s a chance to hear directly from the Highway Superintendent about what goes into keeping the town running smoothly and what he wants residents and voters to understand about the department’s work.
