In case you haven’t heard, Casting Networks and Actor’s Access are tied up in a lawsuit for predatory casting practices as a pay-to-play model. It might be an interesting turning point in the industry and how the audition machine functions.
Being a creative means operating on other peoples’ terms a lot of the time. But these industries can’t function without us, and it may take some creativity to work out the finances and balance out the checkbooks. At the end of the day, it’s a labor issue.
