Description

On today’s episode I’m joined by Dr. Katie Fincher to discuss the menopausal athlete, and considerations for pursuing fitness and performance during this stage of life. Katie is a pelvic floor physical therapist who is extremely passionate about educating women throughout the lifespan on how to care for their mental and physical health through understanding the role of the pelvic floor. In this episode, Katie and I discuss the physiological changes that occur before and during menopause, how women can get stronger and fitter despite these changes, and the role that exercise plays in maximizing quality of life and minimizing health risks. If you’re a woman who wants to feel strong and empowered in her body you’re going to love this episode with Katie.
