Description

This week we are keeping it in the family and I'm joined by my cousin Oonagh Crilly.

After obtaining a physiotherapy degree Oonagh continued her journey in the academic world obtaining her masters, phd and postdoctoral , now she is a career researcher in the health & fitness world, involved in many exciting research projects in this field which aim to change the landscape of the rehabilitation world for the better.

On top of all this Oonagh is also a pilates instructor and about to partake in the Hyrox World Championships this year after qualifying from Koln!

In this conversation we mainly focus on the world of research, what that looks like and what one can expect from being a career researcher.

Considering the impacts studies have on how we approach exercise, nutrition and wellness I think it's interesting to get an insight into what goes on behind the scenes in this world.
