Maureen is a PhD-prepared nurse, healthcare leadership coach, and inclusive team-building expert whose coaching practice is informed by 40+ years of experience as a clinician, educator and scientist. Her clinical practice focused on providing holistic, patient-centered care to people living with the advanced
stages of chronic illness conditions. Her research focused on equipping patients and their loved ones to meaningfully participate in treatment-related decision making and to maximize quality of life as they see it. A second line of research was in inclusive pedagogy and its impact on student outcomes. Her
teaching practice focused on preparing students to deliver team-based high-quality care that enriches their lives and the lives of those they care for. She has been married to the love of her life for nearly 40 years. She has 3 grown children and 1 amazing little grandbaby.
