NURSE ENTREPRENEUR SPOTLIGHT: FEATURING KELLY FRIESEN
Kelly Friesen is the founder of Friesen Holistic Services LLC. She is a Registered Public Health Nurse of 33 years and Mother of a young adult who lives with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Kelly has worked in a variety of settings including home care, clinic, hospital & ambulatory surgery. She is a past member of the Minnesota Nurses Governmental Affairs Committee and currently serves as representative on the Minnesota Nurses Pension Committee. Kelly is also a disability activist and is currently serving on the Waiver Reimagine Advisory Committee for the State of Minnesota. She is passionate about Autism because of the years of advocating for her son to get his needs met. Friesen Holistic Services LLC was created to fill the unmet needs in her Community for Individuals with Autism. Young adults who live with Autism now have the benefit of Nurse Advocate services to promote Life Skills, growth and independence.
