On March 19th, 2024 after a long day of school 14-year-old Carly Gregg came home and murdered her mom Ashley Smylie, she then lured her stepdad home in hopes of murdering him as well. When her plan went array she fled the scene only to be captured shortly after. Questions of mental health and whether Carly Gregg was insane or just plain evil dominated the courtroom and the community.
