This week, I talk to Claire about a book I’ve been reading called Winning the Week. It’s by Demir and Carey Bentley. The book came about because Demir was working all hours in New York – working 80-100 hours a week was a sign of being important. All about the NY hustle. But he got really ill, various autoimmune illnesses, which his doctors told him were as a direct result of overwork. They told him he could only work 40 hours a week and he was horrified. What, a mere 40 hours, that’ll be like boxing with one arm chopped off! But he made it work. Earned more than before, worked less than 40 hours, got his life back and is now teaching his methods to all and sundry. And some of that is in this book.
