The scriptures are a deposit of all truth, gifted to us by the Lord himself. We are reminded in Ephesians 2:20-21 (ESV), that the testimony of God is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.”
